Alicia Nordwell is one of those not so rare creatures, a reader turned writer. Striving to find something interesting to read one day, she decided to write what she wanted instead. Then the voices started.... Yep, not only does she talk about herself in the third person for bios, she has voices in her head constantly clamoring to get out.

Fortunately for readers, with the encouragement of her family and friends, she decided for her own sanity to keep writing. Now you can find her stories both free and e-published! Oh yeah, she's a wife and a mom of two and lives in the dreary, yet ideal for her redhead complexion, Pacific Northwest. Except for when she disappears into one of the many worlds in her head, of course!

She can also be found quite often at her blog, where she has a lot of free fiction for readers to enjoy or working hard, or maybe hardly working, as an admin on GayAuthors.org under her online nickname, Cia.

  1. Hey I absolutely love your stories! How can I find them easily? I understand you are working on the MY STORIES page, but when I click on Websites I get this message - Sorry, the page you were looking for in this blog does not exist.

    Thanks

  2. I have been reading on literotica for a long time now and found out that a few of my favorite authors were going to quit posting on that sight and I followed one to their blog and found out several authors including you have stories on their blog. I'm so glad I found yours, you are a very talented writer and I enjoy your stories very much.

    1. Hi Terre! Thanks for following the crumb trail! I do have quite a few links on here that mostly lead to Gay Authors, but you can find most of my stories, at least.

There has been a rash of thefts on Lit, which is bothering quite a few authors that have been planning on submitting their stories to publishers, or already have. Fortunately, the stories I have out are not going to disappear. I do have things I'll be going to a publishing route for, but readers will get plenty from me for free. Since I'm not attempting to publish my existing free reads, I'll be leaving those on the sites.

That's not to say I won't appreciate a heads up from any fan that finds my stories out there for purchase from anyone other than Cia, or Alicia Nordwell. I may not be pulling my stories to profit by them, but I certainly don't want anyone charging readers to line their pockets illegally.

Anyway, thanks for the message Terre, and I hope you enjoy my other stories!

  5. Hi Cia,
I had a question. How did you put in the links of Home, My Stories etcetera.

    Kind Regards,

    1. Sorry it took so long to get back to you Storyteller! If you go to 'layout' there should be an option to create 'pages' with one of the gadgets. I like mine to be horizontal just below my header. When you open up the gadget you can create various tabs and title them. Then you go and add whatever content you wish to the tabs. Hope that helps!

    2. Sorry, that's just for arranging it. Whoops. I forgot to mention the section when you click on your blog info to edit everything. Look just under 'posts' at the word 'pages'. That's where you can create them. It's been so long since I did it.

    1. Nope, haven't yet! I wish I had more hours to write, but jeez, the sun doesn't rise and set upon my wishes quite yet... well, at least the real world one! Darn it! lol Hopefully I can get back to this sometime in the near future. Thanks for visiting my blog.

  7. What have you done to me? I've been coming back to check for more Carthera tales over and over since Hypnotic ended like an addict in withdrawal! No real blame to you though, for being such an amazing writer.

I recently thought it'd be really interesting if you wrote another Carthera story through the eyes of a male hyena. You know, males are the lowest in hyena society. Hopefully he'd meet another Carthera who would sweep him off his feet.

Just a thought. Keep up the good work!

    1. I've actually done some really interesting research into hyenas. There are ... special ones, that have caught my eye. :) It's in plot outline form, but I haven't written it yet. Thanks so much for the message, I always love hearing from fans! :P I have authors I check religiously myself too, lol.

  9. Hey, I have fallen in love with your Caeorleia series, but for some reason, Part 17 of Adverse Effects is not showing up for me. It says I do not have permission to view the page. The other ones work, but not part 17, and I have to know what happens :)

  10. I know that all of the Lit authors kind of band together when it comes to their stories ripped off. WhiteSabreToothTiger had hers jacked again. As a result, she has decided to not post anymore on Lit. I completely understand but it pisses me off. She just started a new chapter in her series. Not pissed at her, pissed at the douchebag who took her work. She has started a FaceBook page to spread the word on what is going on. Could you please spread the word as well? This needs to stop to keep all of the authors and their work from being used by others on their sites. The FB page is https://www.facebook.com/pages/Take-down-Nookiestarcom/558393564213812 Thanks for any help and spreading of information that you can do!

  11. Hi Alicia, so far I have read several of your stories, they were all great and I did enjoy them very much, so far my favourite is 'The Experiment', of which I was really hoping, you would carry on writing. So after finding your website I realised that you did in fact continue the story starting with Dade’s character, sadly I realised that this is not the whole story, that you are doing it in chapter-by-chapter kind of way, so I was wondering if you know when this book will be finished as I would love to read it, but I prefer to do it from start to finish, I do admit that the waiting for the next instalment is not really my cup of tea. Anyway, having said this I look forward to reading more from you. I wish you all the best. Cheers. Marta

    1. Hi Marta! I'm hoping to complete the online serial story this month. I can't guarantee that, because I've been crap at keeping those promises on this story, but I am working on it very hard. Thanks for reading The Experiment!

  14. I read The experiment this weekend and have also been following Adverse effects. Really great writing. Sexy, moving, funny... Now I can hardly wait for the story of Nicklaus and Fieo. //Malin

    1. Thanks Malin! I'm excited to move onto their story too! Nicklaus has been piping up a lot in my head, hence his appearance in a lot of the later chapters of Adverse Effects. I'm actually working on AE today. :)

  18. Hi!
Question for you: are you still selling book copies of "protecting bear"? Ive been wanting to buy it because I loved the story so much and finally have the extra cash but all the Amazon links are down and I can't seem to find it anywhere. I would love to be able to buy the expanded ebook I just hope I didn't wait to long.

Ps. I'm very excited to buy book two in saving Caeorleia

    1. Thanks! Protecting Bear has run its course with the current contract, so it was taken down. I haven't had time to re-edit and create a new cover and eBooks for it yet to put back up. Why don't you send me an email, though. ;) anordwell@live.com

  19. Cia I have finished books Caeorleia one and two and really enjoyed them both. I see your posting chapters on this blog for book 3, I was wondering when it will be publishe as an ebook.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi, and thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the first two books! I'm sharing book 3 as I write it, so unfortunately it'll be quite a while. I have to finish the rough draft, give it a spit shine, send it in to Dreamspinner, wait for a yea or nay from them, and then go from there to the publishing process. If they don't accept it, I'll self-publish it, though, so it will come out as an eBook, no matter what. :)

  20. Hello Mrs Nordwell! I recently stumbled across your story Married to the Enemy on GA. I was wondering would you ever go back and add more to the story?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Well hello, Mr. or Mrs. Anonymous. ;) You know, you're the third person who has commented on that story in recent weeks. It was originally just the first chapter as a flash prompt piece, then I added a bit more, but all that adds up to a single night. There is a lot more to the story to be told, but I also have Synchronicity that is being expanded this year, 3 contemporary stories in the works; two for GA Premium and one for publication submission, as well as self-publishing. I also have a short story coming out next week in GA's Spring Anthology themed "Crossing the Line" that came to me with this entire short novel plot that is pushing in my brain to be written too.

But beyond all that, and working on more of the Carthera stories, I'd love to flesh out Kertyn and Zaran's story when I look at my backlist worlds to expand.

    1. Hi Maggie! I'm working on it, I swear. I have odd writer's block issues where I don't get blocked completely, but I do on certain stories. I don't want to interrupt reading on this story, so I'm trying to ensure it'll be done enough that it'll be a smooth posting/reading process for readers. Sorry it's taking so long!

  22. Hi I am a big fan of your Saving Caeorleia series but I see you only have the first book on audible. Are you planning to put the other two books on audible as well??

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Thank you! Unfortunately, I didn't self-publish those titles. They are with Dreamspinner Press, and they decide which books are made into additional formats like audiobooks. I've had a few requests for the others, but I'm guessing it just wasn't profitable for cost versus sales. :( Sorry!!

  24. Hi Alicia its 2018 and I recently found your stories on Literotica and I am hooked I just finished Pipe dreams and I'm going crazy lol I need closure lol please finish it. I went on that Fiction online site and basically it says doesn't exist.. please continue the series. I read all the others and so loved them. And as I found your blog I will be reading more of your stories. You are an amazing writer.

  25. Hello Alicia, so I've read the Saving Caeloreia series twice now. And I absolutely love all three books. However, I was curious if you had any plans for Chip? It seemed there was an opened possibility for it, but perhaps not? I guess I was really interested in his character cause he's someone who has lost control of his actions and thoughts through no fault of his own. And, though it may be difficult to trust if you are actually being yourself or if you are merely acting, I believe there's a possible happy ending for someone like that. Let me know if you have any plans or not, please. :)
