The Whole Shebang: Disastertastic Cover Reveal and Buy Links!
It's here already! Amazon jumped on the process and already published Disastertastic, my holiday romance novella, so it's already available for purchase.
Blurb: Sawyer is too busy to worry about something as frivolous as Christmas. College is hard, but he’s focused on getting into law school. Kable is studying to make the family business, Del Buon Gusto, into a successful chain restaurant. When a party debacle at the restaurant gives Kable a chance to get close to Sawyer, he’s shocked to learn Sawyer’s a Christmas Grinch. He's determined to change Sawyer’s mind, but their dates are one debacle after another. It might not be possible to make this into Sawyer's first Merry Christmas after all.

Excerpt:
What a waste of time. He could’ve been home starting his paper or
even watching a movie if he wanted to slack off.
Fed up avoiding questions of family traditions and travel
plans, Sawyer strolled away from the crowd in the dining room and headed toward
the tree. He nodded and smiled at a few people but didn’t stop. Everyone else was
enjoying the appetizers that had just come out, but he’d already had dinner
before he left home, since he’d expected to work. He could pass more time
pretending to examine the ornaments or watching the snow drift down now that
the storm finally hit. He’d just have to wait a little longer until he could
politely make his escape.
“You don’t like eggnog?”
“What?” Sawyer blinked and shrugged the hand off his shoulder.
He took a step to the side. He’d been focused on the snow, watching the puffy
flakes float down to coat the sidewalks and road. The grassy verge along the
road was already completely white. He hadn’t even heard Kable approaching,
which was odd because he was normally impossible to miss. He was just as loud
and energetic as his dad.
“Your cup is still full.” Kable gestured toward the red cup in
Sawyer’s hand. “Usually when you don’t drink something that means you don’t
like it.”
“It smells gross, and I definitely don’t think a dairy product
should be this thick and still be drinkable.” Sawyer’s filter was gone, just
like it usually was around Kable. He got so nervous, he always ended up saying
whatever came to him. It wasn’t like he was trying to hide that he was
gay—everyone already knew that—but he hoped his crush wasn’t as obvious. He’d
had enough embarrassment for the evening.
Kable laughed. “Then why’d you take it?”
“It seemed like the thing to do.” Sawyer rotated the cup
between his palms, disgusted by the way the glop reacted. Surely it couldn’t be
safe to drink the stuff.
“So, is it just dairy-based holiday drinks you don’t like? Or
is it something more? You haven’t had a single thing to eat, and you’re not
exactly dressed for the party. There’s
so much fun to be had from dressing up for Christmas parties.” Kable waved a hand
in front his chest. “Like this.” He was wearing an awful sweater with reindeer
prancing around a Christmas tree that had bedazzled ornaments decorating every
puffy bough. Not even something that hideous could detract from his dark-haired,
blue-eyed handsomeness... but really, Sawyer shouldn’t be noticing that at all.
Sawyer scoffed. “I’d rather be here in my underwear than wear
something like that.”
“Or your uniform?” Kable gestured toward Sawyer’s black slacks
and plain white shirt. “Is it just that you don’t have another outfit?”
“Of course I have other outfits! Why would you think that?”
Sawyer snapped. His face was hot and prickly; no one else had mentioned his
clothes, even if they noticed he was wearing his work uniform. It’s not like he
was wearing something inappropriate, like shorts and a t-shirt.
Kable cocked his head to one side. “If you had something else,
why didn’t you wear that?”
“You’re nosy, you know?” He was always asking questions and
getting into everyone’s business. The others didn’t seem to mind. Kable was Mr.
McArthur’s son, and he worked the occasional shift at the restaurant when they
were short a waiter even though he was in school full-time to get a business
degree. He was friendly, sometimes too friendly, and made Sawyer uncomfortable
with his casual intimacy. Kable was always patting him on the back or arm when
they spoke, and Sawyer liked it a little too much.
“Yep.” Kable grinned. “But wait, don’t tell me! You never come
out for a drink with the rest of us, not even for coffee, and you’re always
studying those books on your breaks. I’ve never heard you even talk about doing
something like going to a party. You thought you were here to work tonight,
didn’t you?”
Sawyer grit his teeth. “So what? Your dad just said he wanted
us all here.”
“And you didn’t put two and two together?” Kable gestured
toward the room.
“I did once I got here. He said he was throwing a party for
friends and family. What else was I going to think?” Sawyer was getting tired
of Kable’s questions. He lifted his before Kable could notice his scowl and
figure out he was getting to him and made the stupid mistake of taking a drink.
“Oh, ew.” Sawyer desperately
wanted to spit out the eggnog, but there was no polite way to do so. He forced
the mouthful down, swallowing repeatedly in an attempt to get rid of the liquid
still coating his tongue. It was as horrible as he thought it would be. He
stared at the cup in disgust. “People actually drink
this... on purpose?”

Help! Tour Questions
Want to be part of my blog tour for On Fire? I'm asking readers to ask me questions that I can share in one or more blog posts during the tour. These can be about me (though if you get too personal I might have to break out the ruler and smack your fingers for daring to be so impertinent!) about my writing in general or about On Fire specifically.
Interested? Just ask away in a comment, and make sure you include your name so you'll know when I answer your question during the tour, especially if you post as anonymous!

It's Here! Cosmic Inception Cover Reveal
I can finally share the awesome cover made by Christine Griffin for Cosmic Inception. This moment in time was so poignant and intense, and the cover Cris made brought it to life!

Blurb:
Their journey will span the universe and back, but there’s no guarantee they’ll make it together.
Though Nick and Fieo are drawn to each other, their relationship has never been easy. Their differences go beyond their races, but they’ve managed to work together to prevent the spread of corruption, growing closer along the way. Nick still battles the effects of years of loneliness, fear, and pain but surprises everyone when he refuses to stay behind when Fieo is sent on a vital mission to find the Collectors. Fieo objects, but there’s no stopping Nick when he sets his mind to something. Over the course of their mission, it becomes clear Nick is more than anyone ever imagined, but the mystery of his past threatens to derail his future.
The search for the truth will take Fieo and Nick far from Caeorleia, to worlds both familiar and completely alien, and put stress on their already tenuous relationship. It’s a journey that will either tear them apart or finally bring them together.
Excerpt:
“Can
you explain how you know that?” I’d only just seen the black organ for myself.
The Collector said it had to do with the ancient race and that I was special,
but all I saw was something that scared the shit out of me. “How is that thing
supposed to help me save a being the size of an entire planet? Compared to you,
I am miniscule, nothing.”
Fieo
pinned me with a look. “You are not
nothing.” I broke his stare, unable to hold it. “You are my whole world.” What
I saw in his gaze was raw emotion, more than passion and want, and I could
sense his feelings for me though the bond like a wave washing over me.
I
swallowed hard, closing my eyes. All that love, for me, was overwhelming. I
tried to share my feelings back with him, all the love and gratitude that he
was part of my life, no matter what I’d endured before we met.
The
being looked from me to him at Fieo’s fierce objection. “I can sense you,
through him. You care very much.”
“We’re
joined in besedad. He is my tziu. I would do anything for him.” Fieo
spoke quietly, his hum full of conviction.
She
stared at him, but then nodded. “I will try to use terms you will understand.
Your form is somewhat familiar, but so much is different.”
Was the being rifling around in my body and my mind? The thought sent a
shudder down my spine. Why did I keep getting caught up in situations where
aliens mucked about in my brain at will?

He never expected to catch the eye of two unusual men there, but are they even human? Excerpt:
Three
years of never taking my eyes off my goal finally caught up to me. I stood and
shoved my blanket into the last open cube and sealed it shut. I put on my coat
and slipped the ident strip back into my pocket. Folding the cubes down manually took nearly an
hour, but my decision to have one adventure to remember hadn’t wavered.
If
this strip took me to a bar, I was actually going to have a drink for once.
I’d always heard the classic hop brew was to die for, even if it was made with
engineered grains. Dropping off my
cubes took less time than it took to compress them for transport, and before I
was really ready, I was sitting on the bench in a personal tube car.
I clenched my hand around the strip. This was it. An
adventure so I could say I once did something spur of the moment. Other people
did this sort of thing all the time. I carefully fed the ident strip into the
intake slot. The car took it, even though it wasn’t on a plastic card like
usual.
My tube car took off, but I didn’t enter the aboveground
system. The travel map was static on the transfer station page, not showing my
path through the city, and the windows went black.
Where the hell was I going? I held on to the arms of my
chair as the transport car zipped along, the speed making my stomach turn over.
The trip didn’t take long before my car came to a halt. The door slid open, but
I couldn’t hear any sounds—no traffic, no people.
Destination reached. Please disembark.
Like the lack of motion hadn’t already alerted me to
that.
Please insert strip or credit chip if you wish to return to your
origination point.
Is that the story I wanted to have? I went for a transfer
ride and chickened out before I even knew where I was? No. I stood up and
strode out of the car before the niggling doubts could change my mind. The car
zipped away the second I stepped out.
This
was not a bar. The ident strip destination was apparently an enclosed room
filled with clothing, survival gear, and weapons. A lot of them.
I spun, looking for an exit.
There
wasn’t one. The entrance to the transport tube was gone, like it had never been
there. A smooth glass wall was left
in its place. I ran my hands over it, to see if it was a holo, but
it was solid.
“Hello?
Anyone here? Where the heck am I?” I shouted. My voice was muted, deadened by
what must be a sound dampening field
inside the opaque walls. Maybe the stuff would have some
clue as to where Keon had sent me, probably as a final practical joke on his
rube roommate. This was what I deserved for wanting an adventure, apparently. I
strode over to the jumpsuits hanging on the wall. I plucked one off the rack,
holding it up. Then I saw the tag inside the collar.
Nature’s Wrath.
I
dropped the jumpsuit. Oh shit. No. Just no way.
“Hey. Let me out!” I pounded on the wall where I thought
the transport entrance had been. I wasn’t going to be anyone’s prey.
What I was going to do was pay precious credits I couldn’t spare for a tube car so I could get back
to our room. Then I could begin the process of hunting my
roommate.
Keon
was going to pay.
“You have ten minutes
before the dome opens. A reminder for the Hunt; the rules are as follows:
One—no outside clothing or gear is allowed during the hunt.”
I
jerked around. A hidden holo camera projected a written list of the rules on
the wall as the voice kept talking. Where was it coming from? It didn’t sound
automated; was someone watching me?
“I
don’t want to be a part of any hunt!” I looked around to see if there were
cameras or monitors. Surely there were monitors around. No inch of the city was
unmonitored.
“Two—prey receives a
thirty minute head start.” Prey
gets a head start? Oh hell no.
“I
am not prey!” I pounded on the wall. “Somebody let me out. I didn’t sign up for
this!”
“Three—prey must remain
inside the agreed upon boundaries of the hunt area at all times.”
My
hands were beginning to hurt. “Screw just making him pay, Keon is going to
die.”
“Four—once prey has entered
the dome, the hunt cannot be ended until they are caught or successfully elude
capture by reaching the neutral zone. This ends the rules. Please enjoy your
hunt planned by Nature’s Wrath.”
Green
beams shot out of a grid in the ceiling of the dome and began to lower.
“Now
what?” I eyed the lights, biting my lip. No one seemed to hear me, the holo
wasn’t responding to my voice, and now the green lights were only a few feet
above me.
I
fought off the constriction in my muscles and sank into a crouch when they were
just above my head. They didn’t stop. I dropped to the floor. “Oh Jygp, oh
Jygp,” I gasped as they touched my head. Tingles turned into chills as every
hair on my body stood up. I shot up as the ground lit up under me.
My
clothes had disappeared.

Plagiarism Update!
*UPDATE*
The stolen stories have been taken down! Woo hoo! Unfortunately, it does appear they let him stay on the site and repost some of the material, as the account was down to 2 works, then none, and is now up to 9. *shakes head* A reader told me the site sent her an email saying the member had been removed from the site, but I don't see that happening.
I want to say a BIG thank you to everyone who helped speak up over this, or just sent me a note of commiseration. Plagiarism is not flattery, it just sucks ass, but I'm always grateful when we find and remove it from the MM community!

So more news, cause this asshole pissed off the WRONG author!!

So more news, cause this asshole pissed off the WRONG author!!
I need help to get a plagiarist's stolen content off the web! This "author" called LostBoyz on AO3 stole one of my stories and edited it to make it seem like his own by changing some of the details, the characters, and the dialogue... while still using MY story. AO3 removed the story content, but not the listing from their profile, and left access to the rest of the stories.
I've just proven the jerk also stole from several other authors:
Between the Bars from Literotica, written by Carsonshepherd and posted it as "Burned" on AO3.
The Magic In Your Touch, written by WavyScribe/Sara Bell and posted as "The County Sheriff" on AO3.
Shakespeare's Lover written by Ryan Field and posted as "Follow That Dream" on AO3.
Opposites Attract written by Pelaam and posted as "New Breed" on AO3.
I've reported the stories and asked how much more proof they need to take this creep's entire listing down. Join me in blasting the site to get them down, even the works not proven stolen because they don't deserve to be recognized as an author in any form!

Plagiarism, AGAIN!
Turns out this "author" on Archive of Our Own, or AO3, took Needing You and then tweaked the characters and paranormal aspect into a Teen Wolf fan-fic. They copied the story arc, the scenes, and sometimes damn near identical dialogue, so it's very obvious they took a copy of my story and just went through making small edits rather than writing their own story.
GRRRRR
I've reported the story to the site, and hopefully they'll get it taken down sooner rather than later. If you know this author, or are an account owner there, feel free to blast them like the thief they are!!
